Meet the Vets

Peter Nicholl BVSc
Peter completed his Veterinary studies in 1984 at the University of Sydney. He worked in Sydney for 18 months before spending 3 years working in the United Kingdom. In 1989, he took up a position with the RSPCA, managing their 3 NSW vet hospitals. He represented the RSPCA on several Boards including the Animal Research Review Panel and the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee. Peter also represented the veterinary profession as a member of the NSW Australian Veterinary Association Board in the early 1990s.
In 1993, Peter became a partner in a Veterinary Practice in Bankstown before eventually purchasing Earlwood Animal Hospital in March 1997. Peter spent 12 years working at Radio 2UE as their resident Pet Vet, finishing up in 2003. His main veterinary interest is in the area of animal behaviour, having completed a 12-month postgraduate course at the University of Sydney in 2007. Peter has a large number of pets including two dogs (Mia and Sophie), a cat (Panda), two lorikeets and two axolotls.

Todd Browning BVSc, MVetClinStud

Todd worked for 3 years in the Bankstown area with Peter between 1994 and 1997. In 1997 he came to Earlwood Animal Hospital where he is now a partner in the Practice. Todd completed his 4-year Masters in Veterinary Clinical Studies at Murdoch University in 2003. In 2008 and 2009 Todd participated in two 6-day acupuncture workshops. Todd regularly attends seminars on various topics in veterinary medicine and surgery. Todd is married with three children.

Michelle Wong BVSc
Michelle was born in Canada but grew up in Hong Kong and has had an interest in animals for as long as she can remember. Growing up, she regularly volunteered at veterinary clinics to indulge her love of animals as she had no pets of her own.
After graduating from the University of Sydney in 2013, she worked in a small animal practice in Mascot before joining us here at Earlwood Animal Hospital and has been with us since – even after her maternity leave with her newest addition to her family.
Michelle strongly believes in pet adoption and spends most of her free time teaching her adopted cats new tricks. She currently has two cats, Barley and Pebbles.

Meet the Vet Nurses

Sharon
Sharon has been working at Earlwood Animal Hospital since 1998 but is no longer working full time with us as she is currently enjoying her retirement. She began her vet nursing career back in the 1980s, straight out of High School, giving her a wealth of experience in all aspects of Vet Nursing care. She has a love of large breed dogs, having owned several German Shepherds in the past. Sharon has has several Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Floyd, Maya, Dudley, and Franklin – plus also owns two Blue-tongue lizards.
She still visits Earlwood Animal Hospital to help cover some shifts occasionally (and sometimes brings not-so-little Franklin in!), so please wish her well if you see her around the clinic.

Christine
Whilst working at the Cat Protection Society in 2001, she begun her studies in Veterinary Nursing. In 2003, she began working at Earlwood Animal Hospital. She has one fluffy black cat at home, Cushla. When not at work you can find her in the gym or at home in bed, injured.

Corinne
Corrine has been at Earlwood Animal Hospital the longest, having commenced employment here in 1987. She worked with Dr Thorpe and Dr Pallade prior to commencing work with Peter and Todd in 1997 and is still going strong as a veterinary nurse here.
Living on acreage, she is married and lives with her husband, two children, two Great Danes Herbie and Tallulah, and also owns multiple horses.
